Partnerships

STATEMENT

Manby Lodge Infant School, Oatlands Infant School and Cleves Junior School have a strong and
beneficial partnership.  There are close links between members of staff at all levels and the
Governing Boards of each school also work in close collaboration.

Each year, our three schools work from a shared action plan with goals linked to academic
achievement, curriculum, pastoral provision, and resourcing needs for children attending any of our
schools.

Children at Oatlands or Manby Lodge Schools in year 2 have feeder status in Cleves’ Admissions
Procedures.

There is a structured programme to ensure that children moving from Year 2, at the end of Key Stage
1, to Year 3 in Cleves Junior School, have a smooth transition to KS2, or Junior School. This
programme is overseen by the Deputy Headteachers and ensures that despite coming from two
different Infant Schools, children are ready for the next stage in their learning journey, once they
start Year 3.

Our main focus this year, is ensuring that our over-arching 7-year curriculum, from the beginning of
Year R to the end of Year 6, is progressive and structured logically and sequentially, and to make
sure that there is good coverage within each subject.

We strive for excellent outcomes for our children and we are all committed to working together in
partnership to achieve this. Four specific shared priorities this year are:

1. To identify all children’s SEND needs expeditiously; and to provide effective and prompt support
    to meet these needs

2. To provide a rich and coherent 7-year curriculum journey for all children

3. To boost and accelerate educational attainment, especially for low prior attainers

4. For all 3 schools to have the financial resources they need to meet the needs of all their children

Cleves is always willing to work with other schools, either to learn from them or to help them.
