Border League Cross Country
On the 6th November, nearly 80 of our pupils took part in the first of the Border League Cross Country Competitions at Lightwater Country Park. As you can see from the photos, they were joined by Sir Mo Farah who was there supporting her daughter who took part in the Under 11s race.
All of our runners should be congratulated for their performance, determination and resilience. The conditions underfoot were extremely wet, muddy and slippery and the racing was fiercely competitive.
Particular congratulations to the following who secured top 10 finishes in their races:
● Under 9s Boys - Will Denham 1st, Roland Spence 2nd, Freddie Thompson 5th, Leo Allard 6th
● Under 11s Girls - Eliza Hedger 5th, Bailey Bird 8th
● Under 11s Boys - Etienne Victor 1st, Luke Duncan 5th, Theodore Thompson 10th
In the team competition where the top four finishes from each team score points we finished in the
following places:
● Under 9s Girls - 2nd
● Under 9s Boys - 1st
● Under 11s Girls - 3rd
● Under 11s Boys - 2nd
Fantastic results, especially considering we are the only school taking part against athletics clubs across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. You should all be very proud of yourselves!
